It can be frustrating how warm your room gets on a hot summer day. Especially for an environmentalist who does not want to have their AC on all day. But with this new technology, you can have the perfect temperature while also caring for the environment, in a cost-efficient way.
A new technology developed by scientists at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), now allows you to better regulate your home’s temperature… through your windows. It does this through blocking infrared radiation from sunlight on hot days, or allowing it to pass through on cold nights to warm you up.
Could this technology, in the future, also be used on cars? Could it be developed to conserve energy during hot summer days that can be used later on in the year, to power your heating system during winter?
