If you didn’t know this already, Tesla produces an Impact Report each year to show how the company performed in relation to their social and environmental goals. Tesla’s mission has been focused on developing a system that addresses the threat of a climate crisis through products and services that are consistently getting more ecological.
“In 2020, Tesla customers helped accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy by avoiding 5.0 million metric tons of CO2e emissions” says the opening statement of the report. But even more impressive is the company’s announcement that “the electric vehicle (EV) automaker has the capacity to recover approximately 92 percent of battery cell materials“.
