How do we transform education?

Schools are one of our oldest institutions. And they haven’t changed at all.

How can we expect the modern student, having experienced the fast-paced world of technology and online interactions, stay engaged in a passive, low-activity classroom?

This is what DreamScape realised and wants to change.

“Dreamscape Learn is a partnership between the VR company Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, which U.S. News & World Report has ranked as the nation’s most innovative university for the last six years” says Peter Diamandis in his recent blog post.

Recent research emphasises the importance of incorporating new technologies in learning; in a study by PwC, it was found that students learn 4 times faster using immersive technologies, than they do in traditional education. VR learners were also 3.75 times more emotionally engaged with the content, in comparison to their traditional classroom peers.

If you think about it, the things you really remember aren’t facts. They are experiences.

Virtual technologies have the power to transform learning and make education and training enjoyable again. Click below to read more about this.

Dreamscape: 21st Century Education

That’s the mission of Dreamscape Learn, a Los Angeles-based company that merges the power of Hollywood storytelling and immersive VR technology to disrupt how we teach and learn. (Full disclosure: my venture fund BOLD Capital is an investor in Dreamscape.) Education hasn’t fundamentally changed in ages.
