If language is a barrier for people with no disabilities… it is an even greater barrier for individuals with impaired hearing. But technology and innovation knows no barriers. This life-changing invention gives a voice to sign language and allows deaf people to communicate with anyone.
Approximately 2,2 out of 1,000 people in the US have a hearing disability. 44.4% of these, do not graduate from high school and are approximately 2x more likely than a non-disabled person to be unemployed. Focusing on these populations and harvesting the advantages of technology to make their lives easier and better, is an important goal.
