“Businessworthy” is a new term used to describe organisations that use technologies and finance to ensure that the world becomes a better place for the 99% of our global population. According to World Economic Forum, the COVID-19 pandemic exposed a need for inclusive innovation and for incentivising businesses that target social impact. In fact, a trend towards positive impact-driven businesses has been observed; WEF provides the example of Salesforce.org, a startup that “has helped over 49,000 non-profits, educational institutions and philanthropic organisations to drive progress across all the SDGs using technology”.
