A new blog post by Interesting Engineering shows us, once again, how technology will help our health care system move from being reactive to being proactive. This new robotic lung cancer-diagnosing system is significantly faster than conventional methods at diagnosing lung cancer.
At early stages, the vast majority of lung cancer patients do not show any symptoms. Once they show symptoms, the cancer has grown and has spread, making treatment more difficult. This technology will help eliminate the “existential terror of an untreatable lung cancer diagnosis”. “The accuracy is far superior”, explained doctor and Chief of Section of Thoracic Surgery Richard Chang.
